Chosen Path Counseling

Navigate your anxiety and trauma, find your voice, and create the life you actually want to live

Welcome

The clients I work with often come to me with a common theme: feeling stuck.

Whether you feel trapped in passivity and unable to find your voice, caught in relational patterns that build resentment, or frozen in anxiety and trauma, it can be deeply isolating to watch life move forward while you feel left behind. Over time, it is easy to wonder if a truly meaningful life is simply meant for other people.

Our brains don't naturally do what is best for us—they do what is familiar. Breaking these patterns may feel daunting, but you don't have to navigate it alone.

My approach is warm, grounded, and rooted in authentic connection. Together, we will gently process the root causes of your struggle, unfreeze your natural responses, and reconnect you with your core values.

You’ll gain practical tools to set clear boundaries, speak with confidence, and build the life you actually want to live and walk your chosen path.

The type of therapies I use

I am trained and experienced in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

ACT and CBT provide a supportive, explorative framework for finding the heart of an issue and taking effective action to resolve it. Whenever behavioral modification is needed, these are the approaches I turn to first.

Brainspotting is a powerful resource for processing trauma stored deep within the brain—areas where traditional behavioral approaches may not fully reach. While you might feel you haven't experienced "significant" trauma, Brainspotting is highly effective whenever past adverse experiences negatively influence how you view yourself or the world around you.

EFT is particularly helpful when working through relationship difficulties. Whenever you are ready, you are welcome to invite a family member into your sessions so we can address relationship dynamics together.
